How do you change a word document file into a picture file?

I took a screeen shot and the only place I know of that i can put it is in a word doc. [when we took our computer to get de-bugged one time they deleted all our accessories and games- paint included]

I've tried just saving it as a .jpg file and renaming it and opening it in an internet page [that didnt work]

I don't know how to get it into picture format so I can get it online without attaching it [some forums and stuff don't have an attatchment option]

any help?

thanks =]

Download an image editor or paint-type of program from www.tucows.com or www.download.com. They should have a freeware one on there that will work for this purpose.

You can make things a lot easier and just upload your files to a file hosting site. There are several options out there. Some have size limits and others time limits for how long they are saved on the site. You can do a search for ones that are best for you. This is one alternative.

Here are just a small list of few options:

If you want a picture editor sort of program try GIMP (http://www.gimp.org). It's absolutely free.
you can't save it directly as any image file format from Word.

You better paste that screen shot to the MS Paint program (Start-%26gt;Run-%26gt;mspaint-%26gt;Ok) and from there you definitely can save it as regular image.

In word itself you can save the document as a web page (html) and in that directory you will see the new folder named exactly as the filename, you can find your picture right there.
Hard to say without knowing your operating system but most versions of microsoft (like vista or NT for example) come with image editing programs.

The most basic and common one is Paint - search your computer for it (it's usually in accessories). You might also have the %26quot;Fax and Image Viewer%26quot; or another image editing program. Then, when you do a screen grab, you can paste it into paint (or whatever else you have) and then save it from there.

Your other option is to paste it into word and then save the document as a web page - the image will be saved as a separate image which you can then use.
