How do I change the format of a picture?

I have some pictures that are in bmp format and I need to know how to change them to jpeg%26#039;s... and how to change them back...|||if you are using windows XP then you can use paint brush to open the image file and then choose save as from file menu and in the save dialog box choose jpeg in the combo box next to the save as type and click on save.





the other way is download a free image converting software from the internet. you can use yahoo search to find some free softwares. one such free software tool i found is

you can chat with me now this is my id : Meisam.star|||Here%26#039;s a quick and easy answer, open it in paint, clic Save as and select the picture format in the drop down menu (below the image%26#039;s name), you can save it in JPEG, BMP or GIF.|||Open them up in a photo editor and do a %26quot;save as%26quot;. I use photoshop and it works great.|||I open the picture in IE, then choose File, Save As, then it will have a drop down menu at the bottom where it says %26quot;Save As File Type%26quot;.


Works well %26amp; makes bmp%26#039;s way smaller! (in size).





You can also open bmp%26#039;s in MSPaint %26amp; do the same thing.


File, Save As, Save As File Type.|||Click -%26gt; Start -%26gt; Programs -%26gt; Accessories - %26gt; Paint





Launch Paint





Click File -%26gt; Open





Find your pic.





Open the file (picture) in paint.





Click File





Click Save as .. your new file name





Change Save as type to .jpeg or whatever type you want.|||As the others have said, just open up each picture and Save As - Scroll to Jpeg. One other point, when you are sure that you have the picture secure in Jpeg, you can go to your pictures file and delete the bmp one...........saves you loads of memory.......|||You%26#039;ll need a picture editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Kodak%26#039;s Easyshare, or Easy DVDs Photo Suite. Alternatively, you can double clicks on the picture to view (Windows fax and picture viewer) and click on the floppy diskette icon to save.
