i use windows btw, windows xp pro.|||If you are using Paint then when you save the image go to the menu at the top and select:

File %26gt; Save As %26gt; type in the name of your image %26gt; Save File Type (this is the drop down below it) %26gt; and select jpeg.

This is one of many format facebook understands.|||You save it as %26quot;Save as%26quot; and then choose the format. JPG is the most common format to save pictures|||Much, much easier and quicker...

Screen Capture:

DO NOT use PrtScr unless you don%26#039;t have a good screen capture program. Takes only the current browser window when you do it that way. Then you have to crop the image later if you need just a small section of the image.

Use the following free software that allows you to select the area for a screen capture and/or whether you need to auto-scroll for a capture of a window that is too long.

Last free version of FastStone Capture 5.3 (1.2 MB) - http://www.oldapps.com/fast_stone_captur鈥?/a>

Comes with its own built in Graphics Editor. Has many other shortcut keyboard options. The best feature is the auto-scroll on the web pages that has a scroll bar. This programs will auto-scroll and capture entire page!

Ron|||When you%26#039;re in Paint, and you go to save the file, just choose a different file type. jpg or gif would probably be best.
