With any software program that converts image files.

You have to open it in any image editing program (like Photoshop), go under File%26gt;Save As%26gt; and choose %26quot;JPG%26quot; as file type.
Most graphics programs can accomplish this, however it usually isn't a good idea to go from a .gif to a .jpg. A .gif only has 256 colors and a .jpg has a much higher color depth. Sometimes the colors will mess up when you do this.

If you do convert .gif to .jpg, be sure to adjust the color depth of the new image. While this doesn't solve the problem completely, it will prevent the picture from getting worse.
Try opeing the gif and then go to File and Save As. When File type or format choose jpg if its listed. Otherwise use Photoshop program or image converter.
Select it and open it in one of your imaging programs.

Do a Save As (under File in the Menu)

When the Save As window opens there is a box under the File Name box called save as file type ... click the down arrow for the sub menu and select jpeg. and save it.
