When you save a picture from the internet and try to put in on a microsoft powerpoint, what format do you need to save it to?

try using paint. then, choose save as... and rename the file with other format by adding .jpg or .gif at the end of the name.
e.g. name.jpg or name.gif

Jpeg is fine.
Open it with paint. Then go to save as and set the file format of whatever you want. PNG seems to be the best for me. To make it the background of a PowerPoint, go to Format -%26gt; Background open the drop down menu of where it says the color. Its somewhere in there. I don't have it in front of me right now.
